Fire Protection District
The Hampshire Fire Department responded to 87 incidents in March. There were 56 ambulance requests and 31 fire requests. Personnel spent 96.5 hours and 348 Man Hours on incidents during the month.
There were 64 still alarms (Company response), 20 Department Recalls (Department response) and 3 general alarms (Multi department response, reported structure fire).
54 patients were treated during the month with 28 receiving Advanced Life Support Care and 26 receiving Basic Life Support Care.
There were 3 vehicle accidents with 0 ALS patients, 3 BLS patients, 0 fatalities and no accidents required extrication.
The total property fire loss for the month: ($17,150 - Property / Contents Value $952,000)
48 incidents occurred in the immediate Village of Hampshire, 24 incidents occurred in the rural area of the fire district, 2 incidents occurred on the Toll way and there were 13 mutual aid /auto aid requests.
There were 32 EMS responses in the village with an average response time of 3:52.
There were 8 Fire responses in the village with an average response time of 3:48.
There was 0 EMS responses in the village for a cardiac arrest with an average response time of 0:00.

The Department responded to 16 non-emergency/other calls in March.
There were 2 EMS Walk ins to the fire station during the month.
We received EMS Mutual aid 6 times in March with 4 transports.
Engine 1432, Ambulance 1451, were the busiest units responding to 45 and 52 incidents respectively.
Department personnel completed 569 training hours during the month.
Department personnel completed 139 fitness hours during the month.
The department responded to 5 structure / equipment / content fires during the month. (Hampshire Furnace, Hampshire Chimney, Hampshire House, Fox River House, Pingree Grove Barn)
Public Education / Relation programs were conducted totaling 4.5 hours (10 -man hours) with 108 people attending the programs.
The busiest time of day was between 10:00-11:00 with 8 calls.

There were 22 times that the department had multiple calls in progress.
Black shift was the busiest shift with 32 calls.
Red shift had the best out the door time during the day with an average of 1:08 (22), Gold shift at night with 1:23 (6).
There was a total of 23 Department Recalls during the month with an average of 1.17 firefighters coming back per callback.
Shift personnel spent 190 hours on apparatus inspections /maintenance/inventories/washing, station housekeeping/maintenance, and administrative duties and projects.
7 fire inspections were conducted with 7 violations being found. There was 1 re-inspection conducted with 0 violations corrected. 8.25 hours were spent on inspections and Bureau work during the month.
Building Permit report: NA new residential permit and NA commercial permit were issued during the month.
