Fire Protection District
Ambulance 1451 is the reserve / second out ambulance serving the citizens of Hampshire and surrounding district. The Ambulance is a 2008 Durastar International with a box made by Med tec. It is a fully equipped Advanced Life Support unit, with all equipment necessary to perform ALS EMS. The Ambulance is equipped with 2 SCBA’s and basic hand tools as well as fire extinguishers. Ambulance 1451 is commonly the third unit out the door for MVA’s after the front line apparatus. When a second Ambulance is needed, Ambulance 1451 responds with call back personnel .
Ambulance 1452 is the front line ambulance for the fire district. Ambulance 1452 is a 2014 Dodge 4500 4x4 Truck Style cab with a patient box made by Horton. The Ambulance is a fully equipped Advanced Life Support unit, with all equipment necessary to perform ALS EMS. The Ambulance is equipped with 2 SCBA’s and basic hand tools as well as fire extinguishers. Ambulance 1452 is capable of performing as its own fire company; however, the personnel are commonly attached to Engine 1411 for fire calls. Ambulance 1452 is first out for all EMS calls including any calls for assistance for an ambulance from surrounding communities.
Tower 1431 is a 2002 Pierce Dash 100’ Aerial Ladder with platform. This Truck responds to all structure fires in Hampshire’s Fire district, and automatically responds mutual aid to Pingree Grove, Burlington, and Marengo as their first in Truck. The Tower carries a full assortment of ground ladders, as well as truck and engine tools for overhaul and salvage. This includes hand tools, tarps, salvage covers, as well as search and rescue rope, Saws, ventilation fans, and RIT pack. The Tower also has a stokes basket for use when needing to remove a pt. from a tall building, or from any other difficult to reach location. The Tower has an on board 300 gallon water tank, and a Waterous 2-stage 2000 gpm Pump. The Tower also has a 4 bottle cascade on board to refill SCBA’s at the scene of a structure fire or other incident. The Tower has seating capacity of 6, and typically responds with a crew of 4 – 6. The Tower also has several attack hose lines, and can double as an attack engine at a fire if necessary.
Squad 1432 is the Rescue Squad for the district. It is a 1998 Spartan Gladiator rear mount pump Rescue Engine. It is the first response unit for all MVA’s, and Technical Rescue Incidents. The Squad also doubles as an Engine with a 1500 GPM pump, a 1000 Gallon on board water tank and a 30 gallon on board foam tank. The Squad responds to all structure fires in the district as the second out engine and at rural fires is the draft engine. The Squad carries a full complement of Extrication equipment, including cribbing, airbags, and various other specialized equipment for stabilization and extrication. The Squad also has a full complement of Engine equipment including hand tools, hoses, and ground ladders. The Squad also is the first response units for all water rescues in the district and carries the majority of our water rescue equipment. The Squad will respond with personnel mutual aid to surrounding departments to assist with MVA’s, water or technical rescue incidents. The Squad has a seating capacity of 6.
